I have managed to establish a relationship with a US supplier that is willing to export one-off body blanks of genuine, premium-grade Honduran mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla) to me here in Australia. I have not found another US lumber supplier in the present that is willing to export CITES-restricted wood outside of the United States. Stewmac also refuses to as well (and they have some nice boards.)
This supplier offers luthier-grade, old growth Swietenia one-piece and two-piece mahogany boards which are all around the US$ 330 mark each. Converted to Australian dollars it makes them around AU$ 500 per board/set. With legal paperwork, insurance and shipping, my landed price comes out at just under AU$ 1000 per board. This is my cost price. This would be the same price to you, as a member of the public, if you could get them to ship to you.
We are talking real Honduran mahogany here. This is a rare opportunity, especially for Australians. I will not put a markup on if you want one of these boards for your build. You will just pay my cost price on top of the standard base build price before customizations (See our price list.)
If you want to simply buy one of these body blanks from me for your own guitar project you know my cost price and obviously I need to make it worth my while to sell it to you. I am not a charity. These are one-offs and supply is finite. They have to travel a long way to get here and there is red tape. If you are in Australia and I sell to you, there are no further complexities for you. I have already endured them. Given that money is money and costs are costs, what would you expect to pay? Make me an offer.
